Self Employment Ideas for Online Jobs
Nope. Not every job can be done online.
Big news flash there.
The question is, which ones CAN be done entirely
–or largely or partly–
online and at home
or wherever one can connect with the internet.
Answer: In the “Information Age,” a growing number
… as business people
see the value for all concerned.
Sometimes the work is freelance or contractual.
Or part time or full time, though by
“self employment” we do NOT mean
one gets benefits and a regular
paycheck from one company.
A greater degree of independence
is implied.
Starting one’s own online
business would be under this
category of “self employment
ideas for online jobs.”
So “at home call centers,”
complete with headphones, microphone, email,
Skype, access to online company data bases
–whatever–would be an idea here provided
the relationship with businesses is not
as a regular employee,
but rather as an independent contractor,
though regular employment is possible
and perhaps more common for this type of work.
Same for a few other of the following ideas.
But moving on …
Writing … blog posts, sales copy, sales emails,
ebooks, white papers, articles, PPC ads,
technical manuals, website pages
from A to Z …
Proofreading, copyediting, editing.
Transcription of handwriting into type, audio into type,
type into audio, old print into electronic form … for
legal, academic, government, or medical material in particular,
for those with the proper experience.
(Medical coding is different and may
run into rights of privacy issues
in work at home schemes.)
… And …
Computer coding, graphic design,
providing professional photographs,
logos or illustrations, tutoring,
testing video and computer games,
giving feedback on websites,
affiliate marketing, marketing one’s own
information products, adsense sites,
certain kinds of MLM’s, certain
kinds of consulting work,
profiting using eBay (like for
one’s arts and crafts items with
the proper “ducks in a row”),
forex trading, and maybe
something you will invent!
Then there are online jobs that may earn one
petty cash or prizes like some mystery shopping
or survey completion programs.
One of the better examples is Swagbucks.com/,
specializing in using their search engine
and other means.
And of course there are scams in every
area, it seems. Be careful.
